IESH v0.1 — From Breadboard to Box

HICS bench, Lalitpur, Nepal

The IESH v0.1 prototype, built on the HICS bench in Lalitpur between 20 May and 15 June 2026 — from a Raspberry Pi on a breadboard to a soldered sensor board in a hand-cut cardboard enclosure. The station reads air, soil and gas, logs locally, and serves its own dashboard and a learning portal over WiFi, with no internet required.

It ran on the dashboard for the AIT Jury Day demo on 11 June and was boxed four days later. The sensor zones marked on the cardboard enclosure — head, soil/agri, base bay — set the layout for the next step: a custom carrier-HAT and power-management PCB in a 3D-printed enclosure. The IESH instrument page covers what it measures today and what comes next.
